Yesenia
Yesenia is quiet, kind, thoughtful, and creative.
She has always enjoyed all things salon related since she was a little girl and growing up you could often find her doing others’ nails or hair. After finishing high school, she moved to a city about 3 hours from where she grew up, working in order to study at a local beauty school. Unfortunately, being all by herself in an unknown city proved challenging and she found herself in an unsustainable situation.
In July 2020, when Mission: EDU was officially launched, Yesenia became one of the first of two students to join the program.
She decided to pursue her passion and study to be a professional makeup artist, which included studying nails, hair and makeup modules. She finished each module with flying colors and graduated in 2023. She has since started working for a national television station as one of their makeup artists, as well as managing her own personal clients in her home salon during her
free time.
